Dr. Rebecca Jaroff 
Board President

Dr. Jaroff is professor emeritus of Ursinus University's English Department. She regularly volunteers at Recycle Read Repeat bookstore, where she met NPT Executive Directors - Kate & Angela. Dr Jaroff is dedicated to literacy and brings intellect and warmth to our team.

Katie Wieser
​Board Treasurer

Katie is an information technology analyst with a Fortune 500 healthcare company and a Norristown Area School District parent. Her analytical skills help us ensure our work is systematic and smooth. Katie brings her passion for improving Norristown through meaningful work.

Ben Vlam
Board Secretary

Ben is a validations consultant for a ISO 9001:2015 company and a lover of all things literature! He is passionate about fostering communities where people can explore and discuss all forms of art. He brings an endless amount of niche movie and book recommendations.

Rebecca Vlam, MSS, LCSW

Rebecca is a clinical assistant professor at Widener University's Center for Social Work Education and a private practitioner. She has dedicated her professional and personal life to helping others heal, feel, and thrive. She brings a valuable and needed perspective to our work.

Tiffany Bui
​Board Member

Tiffany is a first generation, queer, Vietnamese American who was born and raised in Norristown. When she is not being an administrative and operational professional, she has an affinity for all forms of art! As her experience is shaped by the Asian diaspora, she is passionate about creating a safe community for others and bridging the gap between communities.

Angela Smith, MA, MS EdL
Executive Director of Community Outreach & Programming

Angela is co-founder and owner of Recycle Read Repeat, Norristown's favorite bookstore. She is also a former educator who spent 15 years serving as a high school English teacher and principal in Philadelphia. Angela brings innovative ideas, creativity, and a passion for improving literacy in Norristown.

Kate Jaworski, MS Ed
​Executive Director of Operations & Finance

Kate is co-founder of Recycle Read Repeat bookstore and is also a former educator. She served for 14 years in Philadelphia as an elementary teacher, reading specialist, and instructional literacy coach. Kate is dedicated to strengthening youth literacy and spreading the love of reading to all.
