- Create a space where students can explore and discuss a variety of literature while focusing on age appropriate development of socio-emotional topics and experiences
- Engage students with books and activities that respect and acknowledge their diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences
- Incorporate culturally relevant content and perspectives to create inclusivity and equity
- Help develop a sense of curiosity that allows students to think independently while taking other's ideas into consideration
- Provide space for students to express ideas with a variety of creative medium
